Parliamentarians of Boston, Massachusetts

The Parliamentarians of Boston, Massachusetts (PBMA) is a unit of the National Association of Parliamentarians® (NAP®) and an affiliate of the New England Association of Parliamentarians (NEAP). PBMA welcomes individuals interested in expanding their knowledge of and skill in the application of Parliamentary Procedure. Prior experience is not required.

PBMA meets bi-monthly on the third Monday at 7:00 PM in odd numbered months.  In November, PBMA host its annual meeting. PBMA offers a bi-monthly educational program on an aspect of Parliamentary Law for its members and guests.

PBMA objectives are to:

  • promote the study of parliamentary procedure and facilitate educational programs of NAP®, on a local level; serving, but not limited to the City of Boston, Massachusetts
  • encourage the use and understanding of Parliamentary Rules and Procedures to help individuals and groups of all sizes conduct meetings more efficiently and make fair and impartial decisions
  • provide programs and services to leaders and organizations to improve parliamentary skills essential for effective leadership, advocacy and organization management
